Conveniently located near my onward destination, the place was clean, tidy, and the staff were friendly. Nothing else comes to mind.

No frills accommodation, acceptable for a one‑night stay. The staff are friendly. Mold appears around the bath taps and marks are in the bath. The TV is on its way out, with picture breaking up and sound fluctuating.

The premises are well placed for a walking holiday, parking is available, most staff are friendly though a few aren’t. The bed is comfortable and there are two chairs. Checking in has been complicated the last two times we visited; the online booking system caused problems, with staff claiming we hadn’t booked or paid. The hotel isn’t as good as it used to be. The bathroom isn’t very clean, the bath (not a shower) isn’t working, and the bedroom layout has changed and isn’t as good as before. Breakfast isn’t as good as it used to be; there’s no yoghurt and the fridge is full of other people’s old spreads and veg.

“For us Redwings served our purpose!”

Overall it was fine, and what we paid matched what we expected. We’d stay at Redwings again because the location is good for where we want to go. The only addition I’d suggest for breakfast is a few yogurts. Perhaps a general clean‑up around the outside area would help.
