The location was convenient for our itinerary. We had explicitly booked a room with a balcony, but at check‑in we were first given a room without one. When we complained, we were told we were only staying one night and that it was hard to understand why we insisted on the balcony. After a lengthy discussion we finally received the booked room, which had to be prepared within about 15 minutes. The cleanliness was also poor: we found several foreign hairs in the bed, the bathroom floor had many stains, and the toilet seat was noticeably yellowed. On the balcony there was still a filled ashtray from the previous guest – especially odd after we were told not to smoke on the balcony. Mistakes happen, but what really bothered us was how our legitimate complaint was handled. We wanted nothing extra, just the room we booked and paid for. For the price we expected to receive the booked room without discussion and a clean handover, both of which were missing. The value for money is completely off, and we would not stay here again.
