Jugendherberge Rottweil, housed in a monastery, sits in Rottweil’s city center. Rooms are bright, spacious, and furnished simply, each with a private shower bathroom, table, and chair. Guests enjoy free parking, a shared lounge, bistro, sun terrace, and playground. Nearby, cycling, hiking, and canoeing trails thrive, while Kriegsdamm Bus Stop is a 2‑minute walk and the central station 1.4 km away.

Too expensive for a youth hostel; 130 € for a night with breakfast for two is also found in a hotel with better sleep comfort and without having to set up or take down the beds yourself. Membership is required, which we would have to pick up at the reception right away (24 € annual fee). The location is top‑class, right in the centre. Breakfast was sufficient, but there were no eggs. Towels cost an extra 2 €. Overall acceptable for 1–2 nights.
