“Ghetto and horrible location ever with limited WiFi and no working tv channels,”
The staff member who helped me was amazing and helpful, very respectful and considerate. The location is the worst; I was always indoors and afraid to even take walks. It’s situated in the most ghetto area of Johannesburg. I like dogs, but the least they could have done was to highlight that they own one. Their TV is old with no channels or DStv, and they offered me DVDs in 2025! Just when I thought I’d seen it all, the host had a party on my last night, and they were extremely loud and fighting among themselves. I couldn’t sleep all night due to the noise, and around 1:30 am when they kicked their friends out, I thought it would be silent, but the footsteps and noise kept me up because one of them was too drunk and was making unnecessary noises in the house. Their stairs are old wooden ones, and when someone is recklessly walking due to intoxication, you can hear everything from a floor up from my room. They also have limited Wi‑Fi, offering only 1 Gigabyte per day. I don’t recommend this place for people unfamiliar with the ghetto area or traveling with kids. However, if you’re looking for a place with almost no resources, then that’s your spot! I was really disappointed and couldn’t wait to leave. I spent 7 days without TV or any entertainment. Thank goodness for smartphones, but the Wi‑Fi was still limited, so I had to buy my own data to watch on my phone.
