What a wonderful home away from home! This spacious, beautifully comfortable 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom freestanding house sits on a huge erf and offers an abundance of space to relax and unwind. We loved the variety of cosy lounge areas, allowing you to follow the sunshine throughout the day, and the large outdoor patio and braai area was a real highlight — perfect for long, lazy afternoons and relaxed evenings. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, making it easy to settle in and feel completely at home. The location is also fantastic, with easy access to town and nearby shops within comfortable walking distance. Advertised as wheelchair friendly, yet multiple steps leading into the property, combined with gravel-like stones prohibits wheelchair mobility outdoors

“Would definitely go back.”

Amazing find with an amazing garden. The house feels like a Mexican-style desert house and perfectly fits into the Karoo landscape. Loved it. Bed mattresses need an upgrade. Braai facilities can be better. The problem with a braai drum is you can't lower the braai grid because the handle bumps against the side of the drum. So you only have one height setting. This can easily be fixed by just cutting a slit into the side of the drum. Minor issue - we made it work regardless

Walking distance to all the restaurants but quiet enough away from the crowds. Amazing stoep to have long lunches at and amazing fireplace for winter

“A lovely, quiet stay overlooking the mountains”

We were really lucky to find this place, tucked away in a quiet spot with breathtaking views of the mountains. Elize was an absolute gem, welcoming and friendly, and made us feel right at home. The house itself was cozy and comfortable, with everything we needed to relax and unwind. We had a fantastic time here and would definitely recommend it.

“Plaas huisie in die Karoo”

We stayed in this old Karoo farm house and it had a really charming atmosphere, but it was freezing cold. They did provide us with hot water and firewood for the fireplace, which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly too - Elise came to check on us when she heard our child was unwell, which was a lovely gesture. However, the decor and bedding could definitely do with an upgrade, and we had a bit of a problem with the toilet being blocked.
