A very calm, quiet, and cozy spot for the price, with a nice beach without waves just a 5‑minute walk from the Serene (or Selena?) hostel. The host was kind, the room was clean, and I stayed for 3 months. I asked for a small renovation while there and they gave me another room for one night free. The people were good. I’d suggest changing the mattresses and adding mosquito nets to the windows. In room #2 the A/C was available for an extra daily fee of 1.500 rps; it was sometimes too hot and that cost wasn’t cheap, but better than nothing.

A true family homestay that I absolutely loved. They taught me how to cook coconut sambal, gave genuine local advice, explained the temples, how to help the community during floods, and the real bus costs 😅. I stayed for a month and want to return soon. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to Mirissa. The only downside was that I couldn’t extend my stay.
