Le Refuge

Thanks to Gary and Mariana for their warm welcomes and kindness. We enjoyed a pleasant stay at LE REFUGE, the evening meals are excellent with great value, and the breakfasts featuring Rodriguais products make all the difference.

Good cooks and friendly (Gary and his chef, bravo). The accommodations in the new buildings are worth it. However, the apartment in the old building does not offer the same level of comfort. I therefore recommend checking carefully which lodging you book. Change of accommodation the day before our arrival, despite confirmation of two rooms in the new building. The old apartment did not match the requested comfort.

The staff Marianne and Gary are fantastic and eager to arrange your stay at very competitive prices; the value for money is off the charts and the food is excellent. If you contact them via WhatsApp they respond quickly and are very happy to help. I cannot recommend it highly enough; we will return. At that price, there is really nothing to complain about—100 % positive. If you’re after 5‑star luxury, this isn’t for you… If you want a genuinely caring small family business with great local knowledge, this is the place to be, and the capital is a 40‑rupee bus ride.
