The place was pretty affordable and had a nice British vibe. The breakfast, which is self‑served, was a bit tricky: I had to bring the kettle down from the room because there was no hot water, the bread portion was thin (but nobody else was there)… and it was kind of funny to hear the hostess ask if I was having breakfast when there’s no pub within a few kilometres… overall their system still needs some work.

The décor is absolutely brilliant: Lisa, who used to be a designer in London, really shows it in the pub and the rooms. Everything feels way better than the photos on Booking suggest. The terrace next to the ground‑floor rooms is nice and you can lock your bikes there. And the burgers are excellent.
