We got great value for the price and the owner was very welcoming. We stayed in a spacious room on the second floor, and unlike some other reviews, our Wi‑Fi worked fine. The beds were very comfortable. When we mentioned we’d do laundry, the owner offered to drop it off at a shop nearby, which was a huge convenience and much appreciated. When we arrived, we didn’t have a full plan, and the owner sat us down, explained the activities and prices, and offered to set everything up for us, including transportation. That was convenient and saved us from having to think about anything, but the driver’s comments made it feel like we overpaid for some items. The bathroom had almost no counter space, so we had to keep all our stuff in the main room and keep moving back and forth. We saw a giant beetle appear out of nowhere in the bathroom, so be prepared for bugs. The toilet seat was loose and the shower door desperately needed WD‑40. Overall, the bathroom was disappointing but the main room was good. The hotel entrance is through a literal car wash, which felt dangerous because the car wash was in use several times while we entered and exited, and we had to walk through soapy water that could easily cause a slip. Although the owner was helpful with arranging our activities for the next day, I got the impression she made a tidy profit on us. The driver she arranged directed us to a specific breakfast restaurant that seemed out of the way and, in our opinion, wasn’t very good; I suspect there was a commission. Our driver from Oslob to Cebu City told us the boat ride to Sumilon Island should have been 200 per person, but she insisted it was 1500 as part of the package we paid her. Overall, it’s not a lot of money to be worried about even if I overpaid, but I don’t like the feeling of potentially being taken advantage of. We paid her 4700 pesos for two people (one local, which cut the Whale Shark fee from 1000 to 500), which I understood to include all fees, but we ended up paying an additional 100 for the motorcycle ride fee to Tumalog Waterfall. That included transportation and entrance fees to the Whale Sharks, Sumilon Island, and Tumalog Falls and back to our hotel.

The room was huge, with couches that could be folded out into a bed. It was clean, had a waterfont, and the staff were amazing and friendly, very personal.
