The place was clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff were helpful. Coming from America, I was surprised by how small the room felt, but maybe that’s the standard in Japan?

Close to Ueno Station. The room had only two power outlets, one used for the fridge, leaving just one for my phone, kettle, hair dryer, etc., all competing for the same socket. It was also located behind the TV, making it hard to reach and the area behind the TV was dusty and hard to clean.

The free breakfast options were few, but they matched general tastes and saved me the hassle of figuring out breakfast every morning. The only supplies were a toothbrush, disposable bath towel, and disposable slippers.
