The location is absolutely fantastic—it’s so easy to get around Rome from here. The room exceeded my expectations, and the breakfast was delicious, especially the palmier pastries! All the staff were incredibly friendly and thoughtful. They even provided a breakfast box for guests who couldn’t make it during breakfast hours. Amazing value for money! The sign is a little hard to spot (though my eyesight might be partly to blame). Trust the Google Maps pin—it’s in the right place!

“Friendliest and most helpful staff - an affordable and convenient stay.”

I wanted to be close to the train station so I could easily do day trips out of Rome, and this was a 10‑minute walk, which was very convenient. I could walk to many of the things I wanted to see and do. In fact, I arrived early and they stored my luggage so I could go to an exhibit I wanted to see just 15 minutes away. The room I took was small as I was solo, but it was very clean, had all the amenities, and when you close the double shutters on the window it was completely silent. The breakfast area is very nice and the breakfast itself was good. But the best part is the staff—so friendly and helpful. There is a laundromat across the street. Just make sure you close the elevator doors properly or it doesn’t work—that means both inside doors and the outside door. This is not an issue with Hotel Ascot but with us, the guests.

“Great hotel in excellent location”

The hotel staff at Hotel Ascot are very helpful, the room was clean (and cleaned daily), perfectly large enough to be a base of operations, and the sound‑proofing from outside is great, meaning quiet nights. Breakfast (included in the price) was good. The location is excellent—a 25‑minute walk from the Colosseum, a 45‑minute bus ride from Vatican City, and only 5 minutes from Termini station. There are plenty of cafés, restaurants, and mini‑supermarkets too. All round a great experience. A couple of niggles: the internal sound‑proofing is not as good as the outside, meaning I was woken up by a loud neighbour when they left their room at 8 am one morning. But that is not unusual for hotels, of course. Also, the power outlets by the bed have the wall socket right next to the bedside light switches, so if you need a UK adapter I suggest a couple of short power‑extender cables so that you can turn the lights off more easily from bed.

“Surpreendente”

The room was spacious, with a minibar, safe, electric kettle, teas, and daily cleaning. The breakfast was very tasty with a variety of breads, biscuits, yogurt, juices, cold cuts, fruit, eggs, tomatoes, olives, and nuts. The service was very friendly. The location is excellent.

The room was comfortable for one person. I liked the breakfast - a variety of meats, cheeses, pastries and cereal. The location was close to the train station, which is a bonus
