“Il paradiso. Occhio al vento che può riportarti sulla terra.”
It was paradise. The island is small with palm trees reaching the beach, a coral and shell beach perfect for swimming, and a beautiful coral reef with many fish 50 m from the shore (reachable by swim, with a free paddle‑board and mask rental on the beach, or by a free jet‑ski service that attaches you to a board and takes you there in 30 seconds). The resort is fantastic, very clean and well‑maintained in both common areas and the room, which is large and has a huge bathroom. The staff was wonderful, very affectionate and attentive to every need. There’s also a game room with ping‑pong, billiards and other games for the evening. The infinity pool is very striking with a bar by the water. We were at Tokoriki in mid‑September and unfortunately experienced four windy days that somewhat ruined the holiday; it’s not the resort’s fault, but I mention it so you can choose the right period. I don’t know if we were just unlucky or if Fiji is generally windy: when there was no wind it was truly paradise, but on windy days we couldn’t snorkel and it got pretty cold. Perhaps the only flaw of the resort is the lack of real animation; there are dedicated people who organize activities during the day, but they could be more proactive and vary the activities more.
