“Pleasant for a simple stay.”

The place was quiet, had gated parking, and the king bed was comfortable, though there were a few small maintenance glitches that didn't ruin the stay.

“So bad I turned around and walked out”

I checked in, glanced at the room, and immediately started searching for another hotel on my phone because it was so awful; I never stayed that night. The room was dirty, the TV was broken, it was noisy, hot, and basically unlivable.

The beds were good and the room was spacious; the staff took care to fold toilet paper and towels into cute shapes, and we could make our own waffles at breakfast. The staff were friendly. However, the location was a major let‑down, situated in an unsafe neighborhood where drug use was obvious. Our first encounter at reception involved a shouting addict who threatened the staff and called the police. Throughout our stay there was constant noise both inside and outside, and we saw multiple police cars outside the front door.

I scored it 6.0/10 because the room rate was reasonable and the breakfast was excellent, but the TV was outdated and the remote didn’t function well.
