Hidden on a quiet street yet close to everything, Samaya proved to be a fantastic find that I’ll definitely return to whenever I’m in Phnom Phèn. The staff were excellent, the kitchen first‑class, and the pool clean and spacious. There’s also a lovely little bar area, ideal for relaxing or working on a laptop. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall experience offered great value for money—highly recommended!

The pool area was a nice spot to cool off and the room was pretty, but the bathroom needed refreshing and there was a water leak from the ceiling.

The hotel sits right in the middle of Phnom Penh, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, even chatting with the owner. The rooms were spacious, and the bathrooms were also large, which was a nice bonus. The air conditioning worked great. There were drinks and food downstairs. The information we received after booking was very helpful, especially if it’s your first time in Cambodia. However, we found food left in the fridge from previous guests, and the fridge was quite dirty; we had to clean it ourselves. The bed felt firm and the sheets had stains that could be off-putting. The seals on the bathroom shower screen need fixing because the bathroom floods easily after a shower. Other than that, the stay was adequate for the price.
