I’m in the same spot as the hotel, just a short walk to the shopping complex, but you have to stay alert for cars and pedestrians on the road; if you feel unsafe, grab a taxi instead. I asked the security about a car that could drop me by PIK before heading to the airport, and they pointed me to someone they knew. Turns out that driver was a scammer who stole money from my backpack after insisting I leave it in the car for safety. Instead of going to PIK, he drove us to Bogor, claiming it was a “Swiss” photo spot, and we paid 600K for entrance while he promised the restaurant would be within that price (quite funny). He kept my money in the backpack while we parked and ate, bragging about his wealth, his son being a police officer, and his daughter a doctor. On the way to PIK he avoided traffic but seemed afraid I’d notice my missing money, so he drove slowly to buy time, arriving at the airport at 3.30pm for a 7.30pm flight. The drive from PIK to the airport should only take 15 minutes. Don’t trust any driver the hotel staff recommend—just call Grab or a taxi.
