Arch Guesthouse - Dorm for Budget Travelers in Tangier

I had a fantastic time staying here! The host was super friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The room was small but very cozy, with a large, super comfortable, firm bed—exactly how I like it. It was also nice and quiet. The location was great, close to a cliffside viewpoint and a park where you can exercise in the morning, and just a 15‑minute walk to the Kasbah. Highly recommended!

“Quiet and peaceful”

I really enjoyed my stay at Arch Guesthouse in Tangier. The location was extremely convenient, with many tourist attractions within walking distance. I found it particularly helpful that they provided a specific meeting point, as some places can be difficult to find using Google Maps alone. This made arriving much easier and less stressful. I would recommend contacting the guesthouse in advance to let them know your arrival time and make the necessary arrangements so everything is organised smoothly. The communication before check‑in was very good. The hosts were incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming. Jon regularly checked in to see how I was doing and whether everything was okay, which made me feel comfortable and well looked after throughout my stay. Overall, a great place to stay in Tangier, especially if you want comfortable accommodation, a convenient location, and genuinely welcoming hosts!

The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. He was always happy to answer my questions and explain things to me, which made my stay much more enjoyable. The accommodation is small and a bit old, but considering the price, I think it is excellent value for money. The location is also quite good. Within a 10–20 minute walk, you can reach most of the main attractions, including the medina and the old fortress. Overall, I think it is a great budget option, especially considering the owner's kindness and helpfulness. The only minor inconvenience was that the accommodation is tucked away in a small alley, so it was difficult to find on my own. You need to contact the owner in advance and arrange a meeting time based on your arrival. The owner then meets you at an agreed location and walks with you to the accommodation. However, this was not a major problem for me. As long as you use WhatsApp, communicating with the owner and arranging a meeting is quite easy

“Great”

It was an amazing stay and the host came all the way to meet me and helped with taking my bag out of the bike and helped carry my stuff. His communication was great and offered to check me in even when I failed to come at the right time. Thanks again for everything and I'm definitely coming back :)

“Très bien placé pour un séjour au cœur de Tanger.”

The location is ideal and the staff are adorable and very accommodating. The dorm room door doesn’t close properly.
