Everything was clean and tidy

“We loved it but they need to up their game”

The spot was great, just a stone's throw from the Watercress Line, and the beds felt comfy while the lodge stayed spotlessly clean. On the downside, the dishwasher was broken, the shower hit dangerously hot temperatures, and the kitchen tools were in need of an upgrade—broken scissors and a missing casserole dish lid. Mosquitoes were a real nuisance and the plug killers didn’t help much. The staff were solid during the first half of our stay but vanished entirely in the second half.

Everything was superb, Mid Hants Railway at the bottom of the garden, a really lovely place to stay, almost luxury lodges, can't praise it enough. Nothing

“Overall we enjoyed ourselves & would go back .”

Everything in the kitchen made the stay comfortable and the toiletries lasted a couple of days; we could see the steam trains from our window and kept coming back, and the lodges were very spacious. However, it was far from any restaurants or pubs unless you drove, and a deeper clean would have helped.

“Lovely stay in a unique setting.”

The location is stunning, right on the steam railway line station at Ropley, and it’s close to the lovely town of Alresford and the beautiful city of Winchester.
