The location was very quiet, the staff extremely friendly, the breakfast superb—everything was fresh and constantly refilled, and even on a day off the manager was reachable by phone and helpful.

Everything was fine overall! The breakfast and food were very good, and the room was also fine. The dinner service was a bit over‑the‑top because the waiter was alone.

I appreciated the very personal atmosphere, the staff’s recommendations, and their attentive, friendly service, though the location itself required a car—there’s nothing in the tiny town about 4 km from Rudolstadt except this well‑run hotel.

My second stay at the Edelhof was once again delightful and comfortable, thanks to the almost family‑like hospitality and service. The breakfast offered a huge variety, almost everything homemade, and I really enjoyed it; the dinner is also highly recommended. The only downside was that during our very hot vacation week (over 33 °C) a small cooler or ice packs in the room would have been handy, even though there is a fridge with cold drinks in the lower area 👍👍👍
