Cliftons Guest House

“Excellent Stay. Highly recommend.”

We were welcomed with an excellent reception for a very comfortable stay, only a 10‑minute walk into town, and the location was perfect for strolling to the theatre. The room was very comfortable, and the stock of drinks and biscuits was replenished during our two‑night stay. Breakfast was excellent. We arrived early in the afternoon, parked, and checked in early. We would give this a five‑star rating. Nothing was wrong; everything was perfect.

“Welcoming and comfortable.”

Breakfast was excellent. The only slight drawback was the traffic noise from the busy main road, which was disturbing if you prefer a quiet bedroom. Aside from that, it was a lovely place to stay and I would happily return, perhaps with earplugs.

The reception was very good, breakfast was super, parking was at the back of the house, and it was close to the city centre with many restaurants nearby. The main road caused traffic noise, and the bathroom ventilation in one of the rooms was noisy, but that is a minor detail.

Everything was great; the hosts were very friendly and always had good tips for activities. The breakfast was excellent, and the room was very nice.

The room was lovely, with a comfy bed and pillows. Tea‑making facilities with biscuits were provided, and the attention to detail was lovely. Breakfast was a great choice. The lounge room downstairs was lovely for everyone to use. If I had to pick one thing, I would say the bedroom lights should be brighter.
