We loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. Karim’s home is beautiful, with amazing views, a lovely garden, and comfortable rooms. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and enjoyed great conversations over tea. I highly recommend staying for dinner—it was one of the best meals of our entire Moroccan trip, and breakfast was also amazing.

The hospitality we received was warm, the view from the rooftop terrace was lovely, and the peace was appreciated. The way to get there was a climb up narrow streets with stone and sand, and I had no idea where I’d end up. Helpful little kids ran with the car. There were no restaurants nearby. We ate deliciously on the lodge’s rooftop terrace, but it was relatively expensive by Moroccan standards. We didn’t have time to stay longer, but we understood that you can go on beautiful walks from the lodge.

This is a beautiful, peaceful place that was a highlight of our Morocco trip. Karim and his team went out of their way to make us feel at home. We ate the most delicious food, the kids had a cooking lesson, and we felt so cared for. We can’t wait to return!

The staff were wonderful and looked after us throughout our stay. They asked what we wanted to see and did, then crafted a fantastic itinerary. Every day we were guided patiently along local trails with spectacular wildflowers and views of the Ourika River, Atlas Mountains, and countless fields of red poppies, yellow flowers, olive trees, and singing birds. We visited saffron, spice, and the 5‑star Anima gardens, plus an authentic local market. They showed us insider Morocco in all its beauty. The neighborhood outside looked a bit rundown, but inside Ourika Lodge everything was clean, comfortable, and attractive, with Moroccan furnishings and artwork. The rooftop patio and dining areas were spacious with sweeping views of the countryside and villages. The meals were delicious, and we were guided through preparing our own tajine dinner. My wife wished the bath towels were larger.

The staff and owner were very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed an excellent dinner and a great breakfast. The last 500 m to reach the place by car is a very hard bad road…
