I was blown away from the moment I stepped in. Jack, the owner, greeted us with a gorgeous upper‑floor room that was available, stunning, offered great views, a huge bed, and everything else we could wish for. With only one full day to explore Yangshuo, Jack crafted a thorough itinerary that hit all the right spots and gave spot‑on advice. He also pointed us to a tiny restaurant nearby where we could try the famous beer‑battered fish, and after 14 days of traveling around China we can honestly say it was the best food experience of the trip. The place was modest, but the fish was so amazing that we went back a second time. The hotel breakfast is very full‑fledged, and the coffee deserves a special shout‑out – excellent Brazilian coffee that we really appreciated. Jack’s excellent English made everything smooth, and he was a charming, approachable guy; we even chatted with him over drinks in the beautiful garden. We also met his mother, who is lovely and very hospitable. Yangshuo itself is absolutely spectacular. I highly recommend renting a motorcycle right from the hotel and touring the area – it was one of the highlights of our stay. We were delighted for the two days we spent there. The room, location, surroundings, and especially Jack’s exceptional service make us eager to return without hesitation. Totally recommended!
