Breakfast was good and varied, and the distance to Wasserkuppe is ideal; the indoor sauna was permanently off, the outdoor sauna was often a quiet room that wasn’t really separated from the pool, and during a good visit in the fall holidays there was no peace at all. The dinner buffet cost €32 per person and was a joke; the waiter couldn’t tell us what was on the menu beforehand, so the surprise was bigger 😕 No soup, no dessert (except cake), two fish dishes (we don’t eat fish), beef rouladen were okay (tough, but that can happen with rouladen), leafy salad, cucumbers, tomatoes, red cabbage, potatoes, spaetzle and Schupfnudeln with Kaisergemüse, rice with julienne vegetables… that’s all. In other hotels we ate much better for less money.

The location and price were fine; the rooms feel a bit worn, and the breakfast, especially the tables, feels a bit lackluster.

The breakfast buffet was really good and had something for everyone, and the staff were quite friendly, responding to requests flexibly. I didn’t like that people don’t criticize colleagues in front of guests, that staff shortages due to illness happen, and that conflicts are discussed behind closed doors.

The location, breakfast, and staff were good, but the price/value ratio was poor, the usual room had broken armchairs, and the noise both outside and inside was unbearable.
