Czar's Place

This place offers the best value in San Juan; with two people it’s cheaper than dorm rooms at the fan hostel, and we had a huge room with air‑conditioning. I was initially hesitant to book at Czars because of ongoing renovations, but it was fine. They opened at 8 am and closed at exactly 5 pm, and the staff were behind the room so it wasn’t intrusive. The location is great along the main road, but the building is set back so there’s no street noise. Their bar and restaurant aren’t open yet, but many options are within walking distance. Jean was our host and she was terrific—quick replies, professional, and very helpful with recommendations. It’s clear they’re under new management/ownership, so the old reviews and pictures are outdated; the place has improved a lot and will likely keep improving. If I return to Siquijor, this will be my go‑to spot for sure! 10/10

This is an amazing place to stay, right along the highway. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle‑free stay!

“Great stay”

We had a great stay at Czar’s Place. We knew there were older reviews, but the new ownership and management make a clear difference. The room was clean, well maintained, and a good size for the price, especially with air‑conditioning and the location. Renovations were happening while we stayed, but they didn’t bother us at all. Noise was minimal and the schedule was kept, which we appreciated. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional, and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant/bar isn’t open yet, but nearby places to eat and drink were plenty, so that wasn’t an issue. Overall, it was good value for money and we’d definitely stay again. The new management are clearly working hard to improve the place and the guest experience.

“great value stay”

Great location! The area was surprisingly quiet and peaceful, and it’s within walking distance to plenty of restaurants, shops, and key spots. Highly recommended!

I had a really pleasant stay at Czar’s Place! The highlight is definitely the location where all the best dining and coffee options are located, while still giving you a quiet place to rest at night. The room was clean, cozy, and provided everything needed for a comfortable stay. Having private, secure on-site parking made parking a scooter completely worry‑free, and the free Wi‑Fi was a huge plus for staying connected. For the price and location, it offers great value. The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for travelers wanting a simple, homey base while exploring the island. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone visiting Siquijor!
