I felt at home because there was a living room. The toilet light uses a motion sensor that turns off almost immediately if it doesn’t move.

The location is good. There was a fridge, a kettle, coffee, etc. Late‑night guests talking in the living room made me wish there were signs saying “talk in the dining area” or “please be quiet after X o’clock.” It’s not a private room, so it’s understandable…

The staff’s warm hospitality is unforgettable, they’re meticulous and caring with every detail, and the chef is exceptional. The dining area feels very cozy and the tableware is beautiful, very Japanese. The traditional breakfast with fish, soup, and accompaniments is a delight, changing daily in small details or even the type of fish served.

It’s a lovely home, breakfast was excellent, and I shared the room with two lovely ladies. The owner screamed at me and wouldn’t let me in because I was 10 minutes late: I told him the GPS said I’d arrive at 10:45 pm, but I actually got there at 10:55 pm, and he made a big scene and wouldn’t let me in. He preferred I sleep on the street because I was late. I have no words for this attitude. If you run a guesthouse, try to be kind to your guests—life has many circumstances, and I drove 180 km to get there on time. I expected a kinder attitude after my effort to arrive on time and after telling him about my delay. It took tears and a loud quarrel to finally sleep that night. Is this Japanese hospitality? I also want to note that the house is 38 km from Shari Town centre, which was my original aim, but it’s listed as Shari. I’m not familiar with the exact names of the different sections, but 38 km from where you need to go is very far.
