“Our stay was not as good as we expected”

The room was quiet and peaceful, no noise at all. However, we were moved from the original room we had booked and paid for breakfast, yet we ended up in a room that didn't include breakfast; we were told it had an air conditioner, so breakfast was replaced with air conditioning without our knowledge and we only found out when we arrived. We also had trouble locking the door and had to call the caretaker for help. Additionally, there was no hot water for bathing and I was instructed to use a vacant room E or X to shower and then return to room A.

The accommodation was very neat and peaceful, and the staff were extremely customer‑friendly and welcoming, though I wish the staff had been more understanding.

Karen, the host, was very helpful and responded quickly to us, but I think the place could use more attention to detail, especially outside the units; some cleaning and maintenance would preserve the area, as the outside facilities feel a bit old and neglected.

The host is a lovely lady, very friendly and welcomed us personally; the room matched the pictures and the neighborhood was very quiet, so I will definitely book again when I’m in Bloem.

It was a lovely place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it and stay there again if I visit Bloem again; the staff were all lovely, kept us updated and informed, and the room was bigger than I expected, which was fab, and I loved that we had our own space and kitchen—overall a great stay, thank you!
