We stayed in a third‑floor room that was spotless and opened to fresh air; the walk to the sights was short. Francesco was an amazing host, friendly, helpful, and offered great dining tips while arranging storage for our rental car—highly recommend adding that. Parking in Matera can be tricky, but everything else was wonderful!

The facilities were excellent, close to everything, and Francesco was very attentive; everything was spotless and we liked it a lot. We have nothing to complain about.

Francesco arranged secure parking just outside the old town (60 eur for 2 days). The rooms were large, bright, and perfect for a two‑day stay, just a two‑minute walk to the old town. We couldn’t make our own tea or coffee because the kitchen area on the floor was closed, but Francesco offered to bring us coffee; we’re English and prefer breakfast tea.

I was greeted by Sr Francesco, who was very polite and helped us park, even leaving our car at the hotel while he carried our luggage. The stay was excellent: the bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and the breakfast was delicious, served at a pastry shop just next to the hotel. The location is fantastic. 10/10.
