It’s a fantastic bed‑and‑breakfast, and the breakfast room is open 24 hours with plenty of options. The place sits in a prime downtown spot with easy parking. Our room was a WW2‑style “String of Pearls” and looked lovely, vintage and bright. It had antiques, AC, heat, and a private bath. They have a cute ice‑cream and candy shop that recently changed its hours for Fall, so it was closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

The location is perfect, the inn is great, and it’s very spacious. The ice‑cream shop was adorable and tasty! Nothing! Everything was perfect!!

The staff, amenities, and location made staying at A Sentimental Journey an excellent experience. My wife and I will definitely look for a vacancy here on our next Gettysburg trip. Wifi was spotty or nonexistent at times, mostly at night and likely due to many devices being connected when guests check out. If you’re spending time exploring Gettysburg, this probably won’t be a major issue.
