“Wir waren nicht dort, weil es die Unterkunft nicht gibt. Bitte geben sie mir das Geld zurück”
I thought the place had a breakfast option, but it turned out there was none. We’d already paid, called the front desk, and a lady with a heavy foreign accent told us the accommodation was being renovated and basically didn’t exist. I called back, expecting a refund, but instead another €203 was taken from my account to Mercuryo Zagreb 10000. I’m owed €547.62 and if I don’t get it back I’ll sue and go public. Reaching anyone is a nightmare, so please remove the breakfast from the listings.
I waited about 20 minutes at the door because my reservation wasn’t even on file. When I finally got into the room, it was a disaster: the place smelled bad, the toilet was covered in urine stains, the flush didn’t work, and water kept running. I had to clean the sink, wipe the desk, and scrub the shower head. The towel smelled awful, the TV had no channels, the sheets were dirty, and there were insects under the mattress.
The pension was closed, yet it was still listed. I booked, paid, and when I got there the owner told me the place was shut down and kicked me out. I eventually got my money back, but it was a real hassle.
“Ich kann die Pension zu meinem großen Bedauern nicht weiterempfehlen”
The location is great—quiet, a bit off the road, and the house itself is nicely laid out with a decent bed. It feels like it could be a relaxing spot on the Danube cycle route if it were better maintained and the staff more professional. But I was surprised when I arrived: I’d already paid, yet the payment was initially questioned and I didn’t get a registration form.
