The house’s charm—now rightly a cultural monument—dates back to 1736 and was stylishly expanded in the 19th and 20th centuries. The modern room and bathroom were fully equipped to make you feel comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty. Two cars blocked four parking spaces on the hotel lot.

I was shocked that the shower was actually a bathtub. The bed was poorly made, the bathroom was filthy, and there were hard, rough fibers from the previous guest on the floor like in the bathtub; plus there was no parking available, so I had to find a spot elsewhere.

Parking right outside the hotel, a great spot near the cathedral, city hall and old town, and the riverside is also quick to reach, with many parks nearby. The welcome was very warm. The old building is decorated with a lot of care to detail. The rooms are also set up in a rather old‑German style, but it fits and everything is super clean. Breakfast was generous and very good.

The location and free water are the only positives. The reception was filthy, cables hanging down, probably at least 50 years old equipment including incredibly dirty carpets in the hotel and restaurant area, messy, dirty furniture in the room, dusty floors under the bed and in corners, a musty smell, loose outlets, dangling cables – horrible.
