“Ωραία σκέψη, κακή εκτέλεση”

I found the place a bit unusual and not typical, a cool concept but with huge room for improvement. The space was clean. At first the GPS couldn't pinpoint the exact location, so I had to bother the owner for precise directions. Among the amenities was free internet, but it was non‑existent; maybe it was because we were in a remote setting, maybe others had it, but we used our phone data every day. The bed creaked with every movement and the mattress was hard and very low quality. Most importantly, the supposed wall separating the bathroom only created a visual barrier—it closed around the sides but not from above—so anyone using the bathroom was only visually isolated; sounds and possible odors spread into the room. On the days we stayed, there was loud music from a nearby house until late at night.

The setting in the olive grove was essentially very nice and quiet. Walking to the town center takes 15 minutes; the path is a bit tricky because it runs right on the road and sometimes lacks a sidewalk, but it’s doable. Parking space was ample, some shaded, and a supermarket is within walking distance around the corner. The outdoor areas are largely shielded by the domes and by the dead‑end road, so you can sit outside comfortably. The domes are air‑conditioned and have a fridge for food, which was great in the summer heat. We booked two domes, but for one of them, for a period of 3 nights/4 days, hot water for showers was unavailable. The sink worked, though. The host was informed and said to keep the tap running, but even after 10–12 minutes nothing changed. The other dome (closer to the main house) had no issue. Moreover, there was no Wi‑Fi throughout the stay; we told the host, who said he would sort it out, but nothing happened by the end of the holiday. The supplied cutlery and glasses felt somewhat incomplete. The accommodation is listed as non‑kitchen, but if it were offered, it would be great to have knives and perhaps a pair of scissors in addition to forks and knives. The same goes for the outdoor lounge chairs; a pillow would add to the comfort and overall feel.

It was beautiful and very clever. There were one or two practical issues with the lock and the water.

It was quiet and comfortable, the host was very polite and a nice person, but it feels a bit worn out; small details like bag bins, a knife for sandwiches, or something to wipe after using the bathroom could improve the stay.

The location is fantastic, the cottage sits among olive trees, close to a wild sandy beach, the host is very helpful, quiet and peaceful, a pleasant time overall.
