The location was excellent, the canal view was wonderful, the room was modern, and the staff were friendly.

The property sits perfectly in the Ghetto, it’s a kosher hotel which matters on Shabbos, and the staff were very nice. The breakfast, however, was bizarre and not like it used to be at the kosher house; it was supposed to be upgraded but wasn’t. You have to leave your key card in a slot to use the AC and lights, and the water pressure was low. The front desk closed between 4 AM and 8 AM, which is a problem if you check out early; leaving your card in the slot locks you out. The kitchen staff helped me with my luggage and even with the taxi pickup, so I wouldn’t have been stuck if no one was there. There was no conditioner or body lotion. For the price and the claim that it’s a newly upgraded hotel, it really needs to be upgraded.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. The location was great, set in a quiet area but still within walking distance of busy shops and restaurants.

The hotel has a fantastic location with short walks to Guglie (Vaporetto 5.1/5.2 and 4.1./4.2 as well as Alilaguna) and S. Marcuola (Vaporetto 1 and 2). Our room faced the canal and was quiet with the window closed. There was no noise at night; from the morning on the usual city sounds started. At 9:00 a.m. the garbage boat arrives. A mosquito‑proof roll‑up is available. The room size is comfortable, the bathroom is very spacious. Wardrobe, minibar, bed – all are fine and comfortable. Breakfast (8:00‑10:00 a.m.) is generous for Venetian standards. The square in front of the hotel is permanently guarded by police because of the Jewish quarter, so you feel very safe. There are several restaurants at the square. The room cleaning was excellent. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. I was disappointed by the so‑called lounge bar, which is also unstaffed in the evening. The area looks like an empty kitchen with three bar stools and two tables. Nobody sat there and we had our evening drink elsewhere. The minibar in the room contains only soft drinks. Reception is only open from 8:00 a.m., which matters if you leave early.
