“Charming but a little worn down. Except for Paolo, he was great.”
The property overall is very pretty, with many little nooks to explore and old trees that provide plenty of shade. We could park right in front of our room, which was super convenient. The roaming cats, dogs, and peacock were all friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Paolo is a delight, a charming Italian scallywag. The walls and door to the adjoining room were very thin, so we could clearly hear our neighbors, and the road runs very close to the property, making it noisy. Not all advertised amenities were included. The air conditioner kept dripping, which wasn’t a huge problem but a bit annoying. The kitchen was equipped a bit sparsely, and the wooden window frame kept banging whenever we opened the door. Not specific to the property, but the tap water in western Sicily is not potable, and a heads‑up would have been appreciated.
