The view is superb, and the room has all the facilities. I recommend parking for free in the lot mentioned by the owner, even though it’s a bit farther away. Reading the reviews helped me a lot. It would be best to pack only what you need in a backpack and visit before your check‑in time. I didn’t get a welcome from the owner, which is a rule in Italy, but personally I find it impolite.

Un luogo davvero fantastico dove soggiornare nei Sassi di Matera. La camera è curata nei minimi dettagli e dotata di ogni comfort; letto, materasso e cuscini sono comodissimi. La posizione è splendida: leggermente defilata rispetto ai principali percorsi turistici, il che garantisce maggiore tranquillità e meno confusione. All'ingresso c'è un tavolino con sedie dove ci si può godere un caffè espresso ammirando il panorama. L'host è una persona eccezionale: comunicazione impeccabile e una cura dei dettagli che rivela il suo perfezionismo. Qualità di altissimo livello. Grazie e cordiali saluti :)

The location is unbeatable, with an incredible view of the archaeological park, close to points of interest, easy access, and many nearby restaurants. The bathroom area and shower are wonderful, earning a star. Communication with the owner was excellent; she was very attentive, guided us easily, and arranged a taxi when we left Matera. The bed size is a bit smaller than usual, but the mattress was so comfortable it didn’t matter.
