The location near restaurants, the wharf, shops, and bakeries is unmatched, and the staff—from the check‑in desk to the groundskeepers—have always been kind and respectful even when busy. The only downside is that some rooms show minor wear: chipped tiles, missing grout, or a toilet that wobbles; just typical aging for a popular spot that could use a little maintenance.

Paid à la carte breakfast is good quality but clearly pricey; we didn’t check, but there might be better options outside the hotel. We stayed only one night and didn’t notice anything else to improve, maybe just the shower head and water pressure could be better.

Casa Munras is a wonderful hotel that exceeded our expectations; the staff are super friendly and the rooms are very clean. It’s centrally located so you’re a short walk from cozy restaurants and bars, and the hotel offers bikes, which is great for exploring Monterey. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return.
