The location and quietness were top tier, but I arrived around 3 pm and the place was still busy cleaning; dust covered my room, there was rotten bread, dirty corridors, a dirty swimming pool, and the sheets had marks. The throw smelled badly and the blanket was awful. The self‑catering apartment had no broom or dustpan, water leaked in the shower, and the beds were as hard as concrete—no comfort at all. They need to invest in good beds. There was no security or receptionist at the gate; you have to call the owner of the apartments.

I paid ahead and told them I’d be late after a missed flight, yet they charged an extra R100. When I got there, the gate stayed shut and the staff who had spoken earlier hung up on me; I was left outside Woodmead at night with my luggage and had to find another room with my Uber driver’s help. They still wouldn’t give a full refund, offering only half—totally unprofessional.
