North 99 Motel

“Does its job for a night's rest”

This motel isn’t five stars, but it also isn’t the worst: staff are helpful and the room is clean. There is cable TV, good enough for nights when the weather isn’t so good. I was happy that we even got this kind of room within the week of our stay, seeing it was a long weekend. No bugs were seen, which was a plus! Lots of free parking for a four‑room motel, since there is also a restaurant and bar in the same building. The room was tight when the beds were down. The bedding (both the bed and sofa‑bed) was soft and not too firm, but we still fell asleep. Walls were thin and could hear the room beside us, but not thin enough for us to hear what they were saying. For some, steps leading up to the room might be a thing to keep in mind.

Twillingate is a stunning spot, but we kept knocking our foot on the table leg and the wifi kept dropping.

“Avec un meilleur lit, c’était parfait à ce prix”

Prix, logement fraîchement rénové, mais le lit était un « genre lit pliable » – un vrai lit aurait été mieux.

“We were very comfortable in the North 99 Motel and would definitely stay again.”

The room was spacious, the bed comfy, and the bathroom huge with a nice shower; towels were plenty, and the microwave, fridge and coffee maker were all there as promised. The hosts were friendly, and we enjoyed a lovely bay view. However, we had to climb steps every time we left our room, and the garbage lid wouldn’t stay closed.
