The Alpenhotel Schlüssel is centrally located, a 5-minute walk from Andermatt Train Station and Gemsstock ski lifts. Panoramic mountain views unfold from balconies overlooking the Ursern Valley. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi, parking, and satellite TV in rooms with private bathrooms. Interconnected rooms and a buffet breakfast are also available in this ski-in/ski-out Andermatt hotel.

The rooms had a simple yet stylish décor, with clever touches like a seat in the hallway to change shoes. Modern, varied lighting. Very clean. A large TV with online services. Solid, tasty breakfasts served from 7:00 am in summer, allowing an early start to activities. The host was friendly and welcoming. Only here in Switzerland did I get greeted in my native language, which was special and very nice. A small surprise at departure. The property sits in the center of old Andermatt, close to the train station and in a nice setting. The town is beautiful, surrounded by wonderful mountains, as if cut off from the rest of the world, still free from mass tourism. It’s ideal for those sensitive to natural beauty and wanting to escape city noise. Good value for money. This was my second stay and I’ll gladly return. Nothing else noteworthy.
