We had dream‑like days at this beautiful lodge, right in nature and wonderfully quiet. Everything was flawless, and the staff were consistently warm and helpful. 🥰 The kitchen is excellent, and the lodge offers many exciting activities. We booked a full‑day safari in Wilpattu National Park on site. We can only recommend it; we would do it again immediately! A special thanks to our safari guide Mali: he is very competent, always friendly, and literally spotted three leopards for us! 🤩 Thank you so much for this wonderful time. We’ll gladly come back! ❤️

“Came to slow down from hectic lifestyle”

We only stayed two nights in this remote spot and took the free agricultural tour plus a forest/lagoon walk across the property with Mali, who was such a pleasant and knowledgeable guide. It was a relaxing time well spent, learning new things and feeling like friends; the people really make all the difference! Breakfast and dinner outdoors were fantastic, with peace and quiet and just a few monkeys in the trees in the background. For a bit more comfort, it would help to have chairs with backrests and armrests at the restaurant, and more hooks or hangers to dry wet clothes; these are minor details though.

“Exclusive sustainable tourism experience”

A truly adventurous stay off the beaten track! If you want an authentic sustainable experience that still feels luxurious and exclusive, the Coconut Lodge is the place to be. The local team, led by Chamara, made us feel truly looked after and catered for throughout our stay. With only 4 lodges in existence, the experience felt very special, and the lodge offers a range of complimentary activities to support its sustainable tourism ethos. We chose the forest walk and last night lagoon walk, which were incredible with our own guide. The lodge also has a naturalist/safari guide on staff, so we arranged a Wilpattu safari through the lodge, which I would highly recommend; we had an amazing half‑day safari. The lodge sits close to the back entrance of Wilpattu, making for a much quieter safari, with only one other jeep the whole afternoon and plenty of birds, animals and elephants spotted. Special mention to the food – it was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka! The only downside is that it’s very off the beaten track, so if you’re looking for a slightly more adventurous stay, this is the place.

“Het perfecte verblijf”

We had a fantastic stay, undoubtedly the best in Sri Lanka. The room, accommodation, and location were all perfect. At this place you can plan various safaris or excursions and also truly unwind. Plan several nights if you want to be “away” or relax. The staff will welcome you with pleasure and passion!

Amazing! Haven’t seen anything like this before. The activities are awesome, the food delicious, and the location 10/10. I’ll be back.
