I had high expectations, so the experience fell short from the moment I arrived. The welcome felt uninviting; I was handed a tablet to fill in my check‑in details and we had to pour our own welcome drink—water with vegetables and fruit from a jug at the front desk. The whole vibe was not fresh or warm. When we were led to our room, the staff opened the door and left immediately; there was no brief tour or explanation of the room or available amenities. We then went to the restaurant for lunch, hoping for something special, but the food disappointed: the fried yuca (cassava) was overcooked and soggy instead of crisp, the satay seemed undercooked, and the bitterballen had little flavor. A bright spot was a staff member offering us a smoothie that was actually meant for wellness guests, which I appreciated. After lunch I inquired about wellness treatments, only to find everything fully booked, even the next day—making it hard to book spontaneously. It seemed there were no short‑term options for hotel guests. The evening felt off; we chose not to dine at the restaurant. Nearby, there were few alternatives, so we drove back into town to eat. The overall atmosphere didn't meet our expectations. There is one pool, but it felt lifeless.
