The room was spacious and in a quiet setting near the airport. However, it was dated, the headboard was worn, the bathroom was large but from another era, and the shower and sink taps leaked and didn’t work properly. The corridors were crowded. We had also booked a dinner table at the restaurant that claimed to be gourmet, yet the price was €170 for two people for two glasses of wine, two starters and two main courses—prices for a high‑end restaurant. The wine glasses were no longer available, the menu was seasonal, I ordered a mushroom tartlet that turned out to be an industrial version, mashed mushrooms that seemed thawed, and whole mushrooms in a can that were not porcini, all served lukewarm or cold. The dish, a near‑veal with chanterelles, was the same canned mushrooms, the veal was overcooked, and I suspect it might have been pork tenderloin. The rooms were too expensive, dated but comfortable and well‑located. The restaurant, however, is a disaster and a disgrace to French gastronomy.
