Located 30 m from Tiradentes Square, Pousada do Mondego occupies a 17th‑century colonial building and belongs to the Roteiros de Charme collection. Panoramic city views, free Wi‑Fi, and rooms featuring furniture and Aleijadinho, Guignard, and Marquetti art—some with balconies—are offered. Guests receive Minas Gerais breakfast, satellite TV, minibar, free parking, and walk to São Francisco de Assis Church, Nossa Senhora do Carmo Church, and Inconfidência Museum.

The accommodation is generally good, but front‑room windows could be upgraded to noise‑proof models if possible.

Location and cleanliness were good, but if you need a hair dryer you have to get it at reception, there is no room service for meals or snacks. The inn should offer a touch of charm like a “welcome” or a small surprise in the room for the night, those details that make a difference. The breakfast was basic.

The location, parking and cleanliness were perfect. Reception staff and the gentleman who helped with the luggage were also great. Breakfast had a delay in restocking cutlery, glasses and plates, and some staff seemed impatient. The room had no air conditioning, only a ceiling fan, so I felt the value didn’t meet my expectations. We arrived around 20:00 and had to look for the entrance/ reception on the street. Entry is through a gate that is locked and the intercom isn’t very visible; I had to call the hotel to find out where the entrance was.
