“Sehr gute Lage, aber leider veraltete Ausstattung”

I liked the proximity to the train station and public transport in the city. A large selection of restaurants and shopping options nearby was also good. The staff were friendly, but most spoke only English; every day they asked about fresh towels or toilet paper. The room was far too small for three people. The outdated equipment, the lack of cleanliness, a rusted radiator in the bathroom, the TV didn’t work, and there were too few shelves in the bathroom. I booked an extra night (Friday to Saturday); a staff member wanted to move us out on Friday for check‑out, apparently there were communication problems. On Saturday check‑out, they asked me again if I had paid everything (I had already paid on Monday).

I liked almost everything, but the main issue I see is that one side of the bed is glued to the wall, so you can’t get up or climb onto the bed there, though that’s not the main problem. The other side, where you’re supposed to get on and off the bed, has a recessed space that isn’t flat; if you stand up and go to the bathroom or elsewhere, you fall onto the recessed floor and are likely to fall because it immediately transitions to a normal flat floor, which could cause a serious accident. The floor is uneven; there’s a much lower level that can cause a serious accident.

The room was comfy, modern, and spotless, and the spot was great for catching the train. However, the stairs with luggage are a pain for anyone with mobility issues; the stairlift helps only if you really need it, but creaky knees or dodgy hips will still struggle. The building sits behind a gas station near the railway station, so it’s not the most scenic view.

The location was good and breakfast was nice, but the places were dirty and the bins were full. It could have been cleaner; the trash wasn’t emptied, and besides the bath towel, a small towel was missing.
