The friendliness and hospitality of the new operators were formidable. The contact with them was very smooth and they also provided all the information on time so that check‑in was quick and easy. The rooms were more than fine and the central location of the B&B makes the experience complete. Nothing to add.

The place is well located. It gets noisy on the street at night and there are many stairs.

The location was perfect, right in the centre of Bruges but quiet enough at night. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and very helpful, and they also have a gorgeous cat who loves to keep an eye on visitors. I highly recommend this accommodation! We will stay here again whenever we come back to Bruges.

The location is great. The building itself is stunning, and the room was spacious, well designed and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The door codes we received did not work, and it took the owner 5 hours to call us back. Luckily we guessed the correct code (which isn't a good sign ;).), so we were able to get in, but that kind of unresponsiveness is unacceptable. The shower drain was completely clogged with hair and grime, so I had to unclog it in the middle of the night so the bathroom wouldn’t flood. It clearly wasn’t cleaned in ages. The rooms are not soundproof either, which is to be expected in such an old building, but the fact you can hear your neighbours speak, and well, do other things, in such detail was a bit shocking.

It was a disappointing experience. We booked the room two days before our holiday. The first night, we couldn’t sleep because of the mosquitoes. We got up 5 or 6 times – no exaggeration. The morning was even worse. At around 9.30 am, we were woken by the sound of building work in the room downstairs. It was impossible to stay inside. We filmed a video. We left the room and returned around 4 or 5 in the afternoon. The building work was still going on. You could also hear the sound of all the cars passing by. Even though the windows were closed, you could still hear the sound of all the vehicles passing along the cobbled road. We didn’t get a proper night’s sleep and couldn’t rest. Although the cleaning fee was included in the hotel rate, our room was not cleaned the following day. There was no soap in the toilet. That’s a very basic hygiene requirement. When we asked, they told us to use the shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom. I wanted to wash my hands while the shower was running and nearly slipped. Even that was ridiculous. After this holiday, we really need a proper holiday.
