We booked a double room at Hotel Rossner in Münchberg for a two‑day bike tour along the Saale. The senior manager greeted us warmly. She gladly met our request for a lockable spot with charging for our e‑bikes. The room was clean, had a balcony, and free Wi‑Fi, which is now a given. We were lucky to get a courtyard room, which is unusual because the building sits on a busy main street. The restaurant’s food was hearty and tasty, and we enjoyed it both evenings and in the mornings. During our stay we met the three generations of the Rossner family, and it was heartening to see how friendly, charming, and dedicated the staff are.
