Redwood Lodge Motel

The unit was good and offered excellent value for money. The shower was small but met all essential needs, with plenty of hot water and good pressure. We’ll be back again. Nothing really stood out; it’s a little dated, but that makes it a good value for a spacious room.

The upgraded bathroom had plenty of space. The kitchenette showed signs of age.

“Very enjoyable ,handy to everything.”

The place was nice, clean, and very comfortable. Train and road noise were present, but I was exhausted and slept through it; with the windows shut it was acceptable. The shower was lovely with good pressure, and I appreciated having towels changed daily. The host was friendly. The crockery matched the décor and had no chipped cups. Drawers and cupboards were a bit worn, but I expect they’ll be replaced eventually.

“warm, clean and conforatble.”

Lindsay was a very pleasant host and the location was great, but the room was very tired and needed major modernisation.

“Very dated, but beds comfortable”

The hotel was close to town and offered space for two cars on the property, despite being on the main street. A friendly guy at reception was helpful. The building itself looked old and needed a makeover; everywhere there were faded artificial plants. The bathroom curtain had been hanging since the motel opened and was dusty. The toilet and shower were too small for a larger person, and the heater was on a stand instead of on the wall. The electric blanket plug was missing two prongs, and the dining chairs were fragile and wobbly.
