We spent two nights at this property. The room was clean, the bedding comfortable, and the location is close to the center. Special mention for our host who was attentive and accommodating, answering all our requests from start to finish!

The host was very friendly, always ready to help and even offered nice deals for the national park, and the rooms were cozy, though at night it got a bit loud because of animals on the roof.

This place is a beautiful spot just steps from Arugambay’s main street, the hostel stays clean, the showers are separate from the toilets—a rarity in Sri Lanka—and the owner is super friendly, always willing to assist, advise, and lend a hand.

The property is kept in great shape and the host is even better, offering tips for everything from surfboards to taxi transfers, safaris, and local food; I’ve visited other hostels in the village but they pale in comparison to Uluwatu, so I highly recommend it. The hostel is a single room, but each cubicle is private, and the best part is 24/7 AC, something other hostels don’t provide. I arrived at 3 am and the hostel was still happy to serve me.
