The room’s location was super convenient; the TV signal was out all week except one day I asked management to fix it, then I accidentally turned the TV off and lost the signal again; the black chair in RM 109 is a lawsuit waiting to happen and should be removed for safety; otherwise the room was cleaned and refreshed each day and very comfortable; the hotel was in San Leandro, not the best city but typical for East Bay locations.

“So so”

It was convenient, but the room needed an upgrade, the furniture had to be replaced, the walls needed painting, the bathroom door had to be replaced, the room smelled of previous smoke, the bathroom soap holder was broken, the bathroom itself was small, I had to ask the clerk about the TV cable, I left early and won’t return.

“Great stay definitely recommend.”

I scored it 10.0/10. The owner was very sweet, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We felt very well taken care of and would definitely stay here again. The only small gripe was that the parking space could be better.

I rated it 8.0/10, but the main issue was the lack of a designated smoking area and that pets aren’t allowed.

“A clean, safe, affordable stay in Hayward.”

The room was tidy, cheap, and right next to the courthouse, which made things easier for me. The bed was comfy, the shower was great, and checking in went smoothly, so my second visit here was a good one. A gentleman at the front desk helped me out with a tech glitch, which was really useful. If you need a budget, clean, safe room for a night or two, I’d suggest Discovery Inn. The parking lot has enough spots, but the spaces are tight. The building shows its age a bit in some places, but overall it’s a solid cheap choice if you’re staying near downtown Hayward.
