The location was fine, but the Esteban beds were old and worn—both the linens and the mattresses felt cheap. I usually stay at HI hostels, and this place clearly has a lower budget than those in Calgary or Vancouver. The front desk was empty whenever I went, so I had to wait for someone to show up.

The spot was convenient, and the staff were quiet, so overall it was a decent experience. However, cleanliness could have been better; the area under and behind the beds was dirty, and some lamps were broken.

The location was okay, but the mattress was dirty and uncomfortable, and a light bulb had burned out. I had to pay extra for parking, and check‑in took far too long. The pillows were disgusting. Just because it’s a hostel doesn’t mean the standard can be this low.

I had the worst experience ever. I broke my hand because they yelled at me, left, and then threatened me with police. I didn't raise my voice or do anything wrong, yet they still acted like that.
