However, the hotel information seems outdated— the pool bar was closed, the breakfast venue didn’t match the photos, and the Den didn’t actually offer the wide whiskey selection it claimed.

I recently had a mixed experience at a hotel in a foreign country. Upon arrival, I made a mistake with my currency exchange, accidentally paying over 800 Malaysian dollars, which is equivalent to a significant amount in Chinese yuan. The staff member handling my check-in was visibly displeased and had a very unfriendly demeanor, which set a poor tone for my stay.

I was really impressed by the friendly and hospitable staff at this hotel - Lynn, the manager of the coffee place, was particularly exceptional and attentive to our needs. The whole mansion was beautifully decorated and had a lovely fragrance, and I was a big fan of their lattes.
