Hotel Vila Marola

“Tem potencial mas não valeu o preço”

The lodge has a lot of potential. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is good, and the bed is large and comfortable. There are hammocks on the balconies, a pool, and decent coffee. However, the price isn’t justified. General upkeep and care are lacking, and the staff lack training—though they’re polite, they’re not knowledgeable. The place could be great, but it fell short of my expectations.

The hotel is excellent, comfortable, and attractive, and the breakfast is quite varied. The kite center is neglected, and the restaurant doesn’t always open.

The pool area is a plus. Even though the people are polite, the hotel service is awful and the staff show no basic competence. The pool menu and food are weak, and the breakfast was terrible. At 9:15 (the service ran until 10:00) we were told there was no cheese bread, so I ordered a cheese tapioca that tasted bad and had to return for a better one; when I asked for another, they said only one was allowed, even though I’d pay for it. When I asked at the pool for wine, I received only an empty glass. The staff were severely underprepared.

“Ruim”

The view faces the sea. Cleaning and facilities are poor—broken curtains, air conditioning doesn’t work properly, hot water is unavailable, and so on.

“Foi agradável mas poderia ter sido bem melhor .”

The rooms have a sea view. The restaurant was closed during the week, there was no TV in the room, and we felt the hotel has huge potential but is disappointing for the price.
